It didn't look good for Auburn from the get-go of game two at this year's women's college world series. Coming off of a heart-breaking 3-2 loss after a bang-bang play at the plate, Auburn opened the first inning with a booted ball that resulted in an unearned run and put the Tigers down 1-0 early.

If they looked shaky in the first inning, they looked like they completely fell apart in the second. Oklahoma used five hits, including one home run and two squeeze bunts, to put up a six-run inning. Auburn went through two pitchers and racked up its second error of the game to come out of the second inning down 7-0.

Game over, right? Let's just hand the Sooners their third national championship and call it a year.

Not so fast. If you know anything about the Auburn Tigers, you know they are one of the scrappiest teams in college softball and they proved that last night. The Tigers mounted largest comeback in Women's College World Series history pulling out an astounding 11-7 on an extra-inning, walk off grand slam by one of their senior leaders Emily Carosone.

Auburn showed signs of life in the bottom of the second, posting a five-run inning and pulling within two of the Sooners. They wouldn't knot the game up at seven, though, until First-Team All-American Kasey Cooper launched a two-run home run in the bottom of the fourth and suddenly we had a ball game.

Enter Tiffany Howard's hops in the top of the sixth inning. Oklahoma's most explosive offensive threat Shay Knighten walked up to the plate with two outs and one on and blasted what looked like the go ahead two-run homer for the Sooners. But senior left fielder Tiffany Howard made what should be remembered as one of the greatest catches in Women's College World Series history.

Each pitching staff continued to keep the opposing offenses at bay until the bottom of the eighth when Auburn's Victoria Draper bunted her way on with one out. A single by gold-glover Tiffany Howard and a walk to Kasey Cooper juiced the bases for Emily Carosone. The senior second baseman blasted the first pitch she saw that at-bat for an epic game-winning grand slam to keep Auburn's season alive.
