No. 34 Texas Bombers Gold continue the Texas winning streak at the TCS Fireworks Sparkler Tournament defeating the AZ Firecrackers Hinkle 5-4. The Bombers made a statement early in the tournament knocking No. 5 Firecrackers Rico into the loser’s bracket.

The Bombers top of the order are loaded with speed and power. In the quarter final matchup against the Scrap Yard Dawgs, the Bombers tallied 12 hits with 14 runs. Future Aggie Kelbi Fortenberry was lights out at the plate going 4 for 4 with two RBIs.

LSU’s commits impressed with Shelbi Sunseri and Georgia Clark combining for eight RBIs.

Losing No. 1 2018 recruit Brooke Vestal in circle did not faze the Bombers one bit. They proved they can compete against any top-ranked team.



“More than anything else I am just proud! Proud of the effort and focus that they displayed each and every game. When it was over and I reflected back on going 8-0 at that tournament with the quality of all the great teams in this tournament I was taken back and just proud of the way our kids played and competed. We are a young bunch and hopefully it set the tone for even greater things to come this summer.”
