Diamond Sports Hotshots Jones Joins Texas Bombers Organization
The Texas Bombers add 14U FAB 50 Hotshots - Jones to the organization listing three teams in the top 50.
The Bomber Fastpitch Organization is excited to announce the brand new team out of the Houston area that will be joining us, called TX Bombers Gold 14U Jones.
This team originates from Pearland, TX and have played under the Diamond Sports Hotshots Organizations and are now transitioning to the Bombers Fastpitch Organization effective immediately.
“I could not be more excited to have the opportunity to add an amazing team like Steve Jones has to our program," Program Director Scott Smith said. "The awesome accomplishments they have already experienced lines up well with our standards in the Bomber Organization. As well to add quality coaches like Steve Jones and his assistant coaches makes this opportunity even more special. I can't wait to get them back on the field in February in a Bomber uniform.” This teams success speaks for themselves from going unranked to now ranked #2 in the US Club Rankings. The new TX Bombers Gold 14U Jones team had a phenomenal season between 2017 and 2018. Here are some of their accomplishments as a team.
- 2016-17 First year 12U record of 82-20 playing almost exclusively 2nd year 12U and 14U A level teams
- 2017-18 Second year 12U record of 138-9 playing more 14U tourneys than 12U tourneys (WFC National Champions)
- 2016 OKC Challenge Champions
- 2017 Colorado Sparkler Jr as 1st year 12U placed 17th
- 2017 Ronald McDonald Champions (National Bracket)
- 2018 OKC Challenge Champions
- 2018 WFC USA Select National Champions
- 2018 PGF Premier Finalists
This team completed the 2017-18 season with a record of 138 wins against 9 losses, with 5 of those losses occurring while playing in a higher age division.
According to the head coach Steve Jones, the most instrumental players in the team's success of last season remain with the team including one of the most dynamic, gifted and multi-talented players in the '05 age group in Sa'Mya Jones and two more of the most gifted '05 athletes that roam the outfield at any age group in Moriah Polar and Mikaylah Williams.
“Winning a National Title this past year and falling short of winning the second National Title, falling short 1-0 on an unearned run were two of the highlights of this past year, but teaching young athletes and watching them grow on and off the field is always the biggest highlight”
- Steve Jones, Head Coach
The Bomber Organization could not be more excited to have this already decorated team join the program. We can not wait to see them compete with Bombers across their chest! Welcome to the Bomber Nation!
