Carly Wynn has been named the Gopher softball associate head coach after most recently spending 2016 through the 2020 shortened season at Arizona State University as an assistant coach, head coach Piper Ritter announced Wednesday. 

Following the announcement of the Texas Fastpitch League, the Heart of America Elite Fastpitch League (HFL) made a similar announcement that will include club softball teams from 21 states.

University of Minnesota Athletics Director Mark Coyle announced today that Piper Ritter has been named head softball coach at the University of Minnesota.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 7, 2020) – Softball Australia and Peppers Pro made it official today that the Aussie Peppers will return to Mankato as their home base for the National Pro Fastpitch competition of 2020.

She has also been the conference's Pitcher of the Year and Freshman of the Year -- one of just three Big 10 softball athletes to win all three awards. And Groenewegen is only a junior.

It was another exciting year of high school softball across the nation going back to the fall when states like Georgia, Missouri and Oklahoma competed for state championships.

The American Family Insurance ALL-USA Postseason Softball Teams were released today by USA TODAY and  were chosen by Brentt Eads of FloSoftball.

Junior Katie Koshes (Amity Regional/Woodbridge, Conn.), senior Maddie Damon (Kasson-Mantorville/Kasson, Minn.), senior Rachel Douglas (Rappahannock/Warsaw, Va.), senior Megan Hensley (Ashland Blazer/Ashland, Ky.) and senior Cielo Meza (St. Bonaventure/Ventura, Calif.) were selected MaxPreps/NFCA National High School Players of the Week, respectively, announced on Monday for games played May 25-May 31.
